Legal notices

Who we are, what this site is, and what it is not.

We are not a law firm

Worker Rights Line is not a law firm and cannot give you legal advice. Nothing on this site creates a relationship between you and a lawyer, and reading it is not the same as being advised.

What this site is

An intake service. We collect what you tell us and what you send, organise it, and pass it to an employment law firm licensed in California.

No relationship is created by using it

Using this site does not make anyone your lawyer. A relationship with a law firm begins only if that firm agrees to act for you, on terms you agree with them.

About the information here

The pages on this site describe situations in general terms. They are not advice about your situation, and no page here takes account of facts we do not know. Every page carries the date it was last reviewed and who reviewed it.

Advertising

This site is a communication about legal services. It is subject to California's rules on lawyer advertising, and is reviewed against them before publication.

Based on: California Rules of Professional Conduct, ch. 7 (advertising). MUST be reviewed by California counsel before publication.

Tell us what happened. A law firm takes it from there.

The questions take most people well under an hour, and you can do them in pieces. Send what you have — a gap is a normal part of a case and not a reason to stop.

Already started? Pick up where you left off

Claims about work usually have time limits, and they can be shorter than people expect. We cannot tell you what your own time limit is — that depends on your situation. If this matters to you, it is worth finding out sooner rather than later.
